What is PartShift and how does it work?
PartShift is the UK’s B2B marketplace connecting automotive bodyshops and breakers to trade OEM dead-stock parts. Buyers browse local inventory or submit Wanted Requests. When you reserve a part, a 24-hour Soft-Lock is placed via card pre-authorisation — funds are only captured after the seller physically confirms the part is on the shelf.

When you soft-lock a part, your payment card is pre-authorised (funds held) but NOT charged. The seller receives an instant alert to verify physical stock. Once confirmed, the charge is captured and collection details are released. If the seller does not confirm within 24 hours, the hold is automatically released with zero fee to you.
03Is there any upfront fee to list or browse parts?
